X-Lam Cross Laminated Timber

In the new mass timber office building, called Rino T3, the structural decks are made from Nordic X-Lam cross-laminated timber (CLT). The product is comprised of at least three orthogonal layers of graded sawn lumber. The pieces are laminated with structural adhesive glue. The wood’s bidirectional composition makes it suitable for light framing to provide lateral stability, thereby supporting taller building heights.
